Protech following Air Products’ order (formerly ACP/Carbowil) engineered technical documentation of carbon dioxide piping from tank yard to being under construction Dry Ice Shop. The scope of the project included supply of liquid CO2 from a storage tank to the Dry Ice Shop by a 4” pipeline with a flowmeter as well as liquid CO2 4” loop inside the production part of the building and 14” pipeline for discharge of gaseous CO2 of -78 deg. C from dry ice machines back to liquefaction facility of Plant 3. It is worth mentioning that Plant 3 was also developed by Protech on the basis of Axima’s process at the end of 2017, beginning of 2018. The gaseous CO2 loop is equipped with control instrumentation, 3” tie in lines from machinery, PSV and control valves.
